You Kept Going (2026)

Early 18th-century rough, handwoven wool and linen cloth, found inside a quilt made at least a century later and used as unseen padding. The cloth is heavily worn and dissolving with age, with evidence of several earlier patches and attempts at repair. A patterned blue 1950s cotton infant dress, torn and repurposed as patches. White polyester machine stitching, applied haphazardly, fails to meet the extent of the damage.

Wool, linen, cotton, polyester.
